In a recent development, the Portland Timbers have successfully negotiated with Club América to bring on board the talented Uruguay forward, Jonathan Rodríguez. Sources close to ESPN Mexico have confirmed that a deal has been struck between the two clubs for the acquisition of the player.
Rodríguez, who recently trained with Club América’s U-23 squad, is finalizing a lucrative four-year designated player contract with the Timbers. The Uruguayan striker is set to make his journey to Portland later this week, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter in his career.
It has been revealed that a $6 million transfer fee was agreed upon by the clubs for Rodríguez’s move.
