Jack Grealish, the 28-year-old midfielder at Manchester City, is facing uncertainty regarding his future at the club. Despite his desire to fight for a place in Pep Guardiola’s squad this season, rumors suggest that he could be tempted by a January switch if he continues to be on the periphery. Grealish, who started only 10 matches for City in the Premier League last season, has seen his influence weaken since the arrival of Jérémy Doku in 2023. This has led to speculation that former club Aston Villa may be interested in bringing him back if he decides to leave City.

Atlético Madrid is making alternate plans in case their pursuit of Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher falls through. Reports indicate that they have already agreed to a move for Valencia’s Javi Guerra as a backup option. The Spanish club has strengthened its squad with the recent additions of Robin Le Normand and Alexander Sørloth, and Guerra would be the third arrival for a fee of €25 million. Atlético officials are awaiting Gallagher’s decision on their proposal before proceeding with the transfer.

Chelsea has joined the race for Celtic midfielder Matt O’Riley as they seek a replacement for Conor Gallagher. Manager Enzo Maresca sees O’Riley as the perfect fit for the team and is willing to make a bid for the 23-year-old. Although Celtic has rejected a bid from Southampton for O’Riley, Chelsea is prepared to offer a higher fee believed to be around £20 million. Atalanta is also reportedly interested in the Denmark international, adding to the competition for his signature.

Bayer Leverkusen is looking to strengthen their defensive options and is considering a move for free agent Joël Matip. The club is eyeing Matip as a short-term solution in case Jonathan Tah leaves, and talks between the two parties have been positive. While there is no verbal agreement in place yet, Leverkusen is hopeful that the 32-year-old defender will sign a contract until 2026. Matip is also exploring other options, but Leverkusen remains optimistic about securing his services.

Inter Milan has entered the race for Juventus forward Federico Chiesa, who has been told by Juventus boss Thiago Motta that he is free to leave. With one year left on his contract, Juventus is looking to sell Chiesa to avoid losing him on a free transfer next year. Despite Juve’s valuation of €40 million, potential suitors like Inter, Chelsea, and Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing the 26-year-old. Inter’s president is hoping to negotiate a deal with Juventus to secure Chiesa’s transfer to the Nerazzurri.

RB Leipzig has rejected Barcelona’s initial offer for midfielder Dani Olmo and is holding out for a better proposal. While Barcelona has met Leipzig’s valuation of €60 million, the German club is insisting on a one-off fee rather than installments and bonuses. Leipzig is prepared to let Olmo leave for his preferred destination at Barca but is unwilling to finalize the deal unless the terms are to their liking. Barcelona will need to make a serious offer if they want to secure the services of the 26-year-old Spain international.
