Real Madrid fans were disappointed to learn that Kylian Mbappé would not be joining the team for their preseason tour of the United States. The French striker, who recently led his national team to the semi-finals of Euro 2024, is currently on holiday and will miss out on Madrid’s friendly matches against AC Milan, Barcelona, and Chelsea.
In addition to Mbappé, Real Madrid will also be without the services of Jude Bellingham and Dani Carvajal. Both players featured in the Euro 2024 final with England and Spain, respectively, and are currently on vacation. Despite their absence, coach Carlo Ancelotti has named a 26-man squad for the tour, including young Brazilian forward Endrick, who recently made a permanent move to Madrid from Palmeiras.
Ancelotti’s squad for the preseason tour includes 12 youth players, demonstrating the club’s commitment to nurturing young talent. Endrick’s Brazil teammates Vinícius Júnior and Rodrygo Goes will also be joining the team in the coming days, adding depth to the squad ahead of the upcoming friendlies.
Although Mbappé will not be part of Real Madrid’s preseason tour, it is expected that he will link up with the team immediately after the tour concludes. The French forward, who recently joined the club as a free agent following his contract expiration with Paris Saint-Germain, is set to make his debut for Madrid against Atalanta in the European Super Cup on August 14 in Warsaw.
Real Madrid’s preseason tour will see them face AC Milan, Barcelona, and Chelsea in a series of high-profile matches across the United States. The team will take on AC Milan at Soldier Field in Chicago on July 31, followed by the Clasico showdown against Barcelona on August 3 at Metlife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The tour will conclude with a match against Chelsea on August 6 at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina.
While the absence of Kylian Mbappé will be felt during Real Madrid’s preseason tour, the team is set to showcase their depth and talent in the upcoming friendlies. Fans can look forward to seeing exciting young players like Endrick, Vinícius Júnior, and Rodrygo Goes in action as the team prepares for the upcoming season.
