Sergiño Dest, the Barcelona and United States right-back, has officially joined Eredivisie side PSV Eindhoven on a free transfer. Barcelona will receive a percentage of any future transfer as part of the deal, with Dest’s contract at the LaLiga side expiring next summer. The move comes after Dest spent last season on loan at PSV, but the Dutch team decided against making the move permanent due to an injury that sidelined him for a significant period.

Born in the Netherlands, Dest chose to represent the USMNT, where he has made 33 appearances and scored two goals. His decision to play for the United States came after representing the country at youth level and confirming his desire to wear the national team’s colors.
