Real Madrid Celebrates LaLiga Title with Fans

Real Madrid’s victory in the LaLiga title was celebrated on Sunday with a parade through the streets of Madrid. The team took an open-top bus to share the trophy with their fans after being presented with the trophy by Spanish football federation [RFEF] president Pedro Rocha. The players, coach Carlo Ancelotti, and president Florentino Perez were honored in a behind-closed-doors ceremony at the club’s Valdebebas training ground before embarking on their parade.

Captain Nacho expressed his excitement by telling Real Madrid TV, “We have to go to Cibeles, because we’ve won a very difficult league title. We’re very happy. You have to enjoy the moment because you never know when you’ll win another. It gives you goosebumps going to Cibeles. I’ve been dreaming about this all year.” Midfielder Toni Kroos reflected on the team’s challenges throughout the season, mentioning, “We’ve had difficulties, a lot of injuries, but winning the league early, and with this lead, says a lot about this group. It’s important to celebrate with the fans.”

Madrid’s league title win, their 36th in history, was confirmed the previous weekend with a 3-0 victory over Cadiz and Girona’s 4-2 win over Barcelona. This victory gave Real Madrid an insurmountable 13-point lead with just four games remaining. The club now holds the record for the most LaLiga titles in Spanish football history. In addition to their domestic success, Real Madrid will have the opportunity to add another trophy to their collection when they face Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League final at Wembley Stadium in London.

England midfielder Jude Bellingham thanked the fans for their support and affection throughout the season, addressing the crowd in Spanish and expressing confidence in winning the upcoming Champions League final at Wembley. President Florentino Perez praised the team for their dedication and values, emphasizing the importance of effort, hard work, and humility in achieving success. The 36th league title is seen as a symbol of overcoming adversity, with players like Courtois, Militão, and Alaba serving as examples of resilience and determination.

Real Madrid’s league title celebrations were postponed until after their Champions League semifinal against Bayern Munich, which they won with a late brace from forward Joselu. The team’s decision to delay the celebrations out of respect for Granada, whose relegation from LaLiga was confirmed, showcases the sportsmanship and integrity of the club. Looking ahead, Real Madrid is focused on maintaining their winning streak and continuing to strive for excellence in European competition.
