Chelsea’s New Away Kit for the 2024-25 Season

Chelsea’s New Away Kit for the 2024-25 Season

Chelsea Football Club has recently unveiled their new away kit for the upcoming 2024-25 season. After the controversial “blue flame” concept of their home kit, the club has opted for a more simplistic design for their away jersey. The base color of the shirt may appear off-white, but it is actually a very subtle shade of orange referred to as “guava ice” by Nike, the manufacturer. The material of the shirt features a textured weave that creates a tessellating pattern reminiscent of chain links. The vibrant orange trim from the home shirt is also present, symbolizing fire, ambition, and passion within the club.

The new away kit includes the club crest and Nike logo in contrasting orange and blue colors. These logos have been embossed and given an iridescent sheen to stand out under floodlights. This design choice has become a signature feature of Chelsea’s kits in recent years. As of now, the shirts do not have a main sponsor across the midriff, but it is expected to be added soon.

The away kit was launched during Chelsea’s preseason tour in the United States. The promotional video for the kit was filmed in San Jose, California, adding to the international appeal of the club. During their preseason matches, Chelsea faced teams like Celtic, América, Manchester City, Real Madrid, and Inter Milan. The Blues suffered a 4-1 defeat against Celtic in Indiana but will continue to prepare for the new season under the guidance of their new head coach, Enzo Maresca.

Chelsea’s first fixture of the new season is against Manchester City on August 18th. They will also have London derbies against Crystal Palace and West Ham United within the first six games of the campaign. The team is gearing up to start the season on a high note and showcase their determination to succeed both on and off the pitch. The new away kit is a reflection of the club’s values and ambitious spirit as they aim for success in the upcoming season.
